QUESTION:     What are the best tools for staying healthy this flu season?

 

ANSWER:        Remember Prevention is Key!! 

    • Get Vaccinated (more info below on vaccinations)!
    • Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze.  Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.
    • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.
    • Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
    • Follow public health advice regarding school closures, avoiding crowds and other social distancing measures.
    • Have a flu readiness kit with Kleenex, hand sanitizer, ibuprofen or Tylenol.

 

 

QUESTION:     What are the symptoms of the seasonal flu?

 

ANSWER:

  • Fever (not everyone with the flu will have a fever)
  • Coughing and/or sore throat
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Headache and/or body aches
  • Chills
  • Fatigue

ANSWER:        Same as seasonal flu, but symptoms may be more severe:
