WELLNESS FAIRA campus-wide Wellness Fair is entirely organized and coordinated by SHAC in the fall semester. The purpose of the Wellness Fair is to raise awareness about mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health to students. Around one hundred campus and community vendors attend and feature health-related exhibits, health screenings and educational workshops. |

Run LIke Health 5KIn conjuction with the Wellness Fair, a 5K run is planned and held on campus. The purpose is to promote physical fitness as well as provide an affordable alternative to other runs for students. |

HIV Screenings and CounselingSHAC members are certified by the Utah Department of Health to offer HIV counseling and confidential HIV screenings to students. Trained counselors provide HIV education, prevention, and risk reduction information. To learn more, go here. |

World AIDS DayWorld AIDS Day is a global coalition of national and international groups dedicated to spread the awareness of AIDS. SHAC and the Office of Health Promotion offers free HIV testing and counseling on this day for students at the University of Utah. |

Healthy HandsThe flu is the one of the top academic impacts at this campus. This campaign educates students about hand washing techniques, implements hand sanitization methods, and reduces the spread of infection to benefit our students, campus, and the community at large. |

Nutrition CampaignMost students consume too many calories and not enough nutrients. Through the use of a nutrition labeling system combined with health educator information implemented at the Heritage Center dining hall, students can be educated on recommended dietary behaviors and nutrition to improve their health and wellness. |

Service ProjectSHAC volunteers in an annual service project during the spring semester. Past projects include Bear Hugs for Babies, a collection drive in which stuffed animals were donated to the Children's Justice Center in Salt Lake. |

Head to Toe PublicationsHead to Toe (HTT) articles are health promotion messages written and edited by SHAC members and published periodically in the Daily Utah Chronicle. HTT is a way for SHAC to reach out to students on campus with health issues that concern the students at the University of Utah. Read some articles here. |

De-Stress FestStress is the leading academic impact at the University of Utah. The De-stress Fest provides a way for students to relax and unwind before finals. Students can participate in activities that include video gaming, massages, button-making, and free food as well as attend educational booths. |

SPILL Depression BlogThe SPILL blog (Students Providing Insight on Life and Learning) is a peer advocate tool where students can openly communicate with one another on how they feel and how they deal with depression.
